You Talk Funny is a sociolinguistic podcast that examines our biases about dialect, language, and music, and how these biases affect our social, political, and personal lives. We hope that while exploring this fascinating and complicated subject matter we begin to chart a path towards broader linguistic tolerance.
To help us navigate the often contentious and emotionally charged world of aural biases, we will solicit the input of a wide and diverse range of experts from around the world. In the end, we craft each episode for YOU, our audience, in the hopes of....well, learning a little, growing a little, and loving a lot more.
We hope you will join us on our journey.
