As a participant in this study, you will be asked to:
- Fill out and sign the YTF consent form.
- Fill out and sign the YTF waiver and liability form.
- Record yourself answering the five (5) intake questions (below) on your phone, computer, or other recording device (just be sure you know how to get the recorded files off of the device and send as attachments to submissions@youtalkfunnypodcast.com ). Your name and contact information on this, or any sound samples you submit, will be edited out before publication.
- Send the intake recording and waiver and consent forms (as an attachment) to submissions@youtalkfunnypodcast.com
- Our research includes global responses to the intake recordings. If you would like to be part of this global respondent pool, and be contacted by our research team for a verbal recorded interview, please indicate so on the consent form.
Intake Questions for YTF Voice Bank
Please answer the following to your degree of comfort. Average sample should be 4-6 minutes.
- What did you eat for breakfast today? (If you have not had anything to eat yet, you can describe that or you can talk about yesterday’s meal.)
- Please describe your childhood bedroom, to the best of your memory. (All details are good, including emotional responses as well as decor!)
- Please describe, including the title, if you can recall it, the last movie you watched anywhere and your response to it.
- Please recount the first time you ever rode or saw somebody riding a bike.
- In your history or present day, is there a body of water that you have a relationship to (i.e. lake, sea, ocean, river, stream, pond, gulf, wash, bay)? Please describe it.
